Dean Whitney
An early pioneer in interactive media, Dean Whitney is the Founder and Principal of Dean Whitney Interactive. He oversees all strategy, user experience and development using systems and processes developed over 15 years of experience.
Dean was most recently the President of Garfield Group Interactive; a digital marketing agency with offices in Boston and Philidelphia. Dean was an early adopter of Web 2.0 and a social media evangelist at Digitas. Prior to Digitas headed technology start-ups and online marketing groups at global Fortune 100 companies. Dean is a involved in many start-ups and MITX board member.
Dean has worked with many of the world’s most recognized brands including Cisco, Fidelity, GM, Microsoft, Royal Carribean and collaborated with top agencies such as Leo Burnett, JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi and Starcom.

Ashley Williams
Ashley specializes in customer research, user experience design, and usability for such industries as pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences, higher education, financial services, telecommunications, and technology. Ashley has led engagements at Citi, EMC, Fidelity Investments, PerkinElmer, Pfizer, Pitney Bowes, and Schering Plough.
Ashley holds a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s Degree in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern and is currently Information Director and serving on the Board for the Association of Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (ACM SIGDOC). She is also a member of and active volunteer for various user experience organizations, including the Usability Professionals Association (UPA), ACM’s Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI), the Interaction Design Association (IxDA), and the Information Architecture Institute.
Ashley has taught user experience at both the undergraduate and graduate level and has given over a dozen talks at national and international conferences on topics related to user experience design.

Alla Zollers
Alla brings sophisticated user-centered design process, extensive research, analysis and communication skills, as well as a strong technical background to every project. Utilizing a goal-directed design approach, she combines user research, personas, scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing to identify and design the experiences that meet users’ needs. She leverages a range of research methods to target the right customer segments, and obtain deep insights on the customer’s needs, behaviors, and motivations.
Alla holds a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from Indiana University, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is a candidate for a PhD. in Information Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Sim’s expertise covers the gamut from startup creation and financing to strategy definition and positioning to R&D execution to go-to-market and alliances development. He has played a key role in more than twenty v1.0s and M&A and spinout transactions.
Sim is the founder and CEO of FastIgnite where he helps entrepreneurs shape promising ideas, raise capital, build teams and execute across all stages of the startup lifecycle. Prior to starting FastIgnite, Sim spent seven years as technology partner at Polaris Venture Partners where he made investments in the online, enterprise and mobile sectors. Sim was vice president of emerging technologies and chief architect at Macromedia (now Adobe). Earlier, Sim was a founding member and chief architect at Allaire, one of the first large Internet platform companies.
Sim has a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University and bachelor degrees in computer science, economics and mathematics from Macalester College.

Ray Elman, Media Advisor

Ray Elman
A pioneer in the fields of e-learning and the application of new media to individual and organizational learning, Ray has spearheaded development of interactive solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, strategy consulting, energy, public accounting, high technology, as well as professional associations and Federal agencies.
Prior to joining Cambria, Ray was Chairman of Streamline Communications and, later, EVP and Chief Development Officer of Bridgeline Software which acquired Streamline in 2000. At Bridgeline, Ray led clients through the development of B-to-B and B-to-C websites, e-learning programs, knowledge development systems, and general communication efforts. Before co-founding Streamline, Ray was National Director of Creative Services for Coopers & Lybrand, where he helped develop and implement the firm’s branding standards, pioneered the development of computer graphics, championed multimedia, and created awareness of the emerging significance of the Internet.
Ray received a BS and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania while simultaneously concentrating in studio courses in Penn’s Fine Arts program. He also maintains a career as a painter, and his work is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, as well as numerous other public and private collections. Ray has served on the boards of several arts organizations and is the co-founder of Provincetown Arts magazine.
